I'm a woman entrepreneur and a woman in sales and I know one thing for sure.
If you don't have mentors – you're losing money and opportunities like crazy (and you don't even know it)
Why? You can't come up with FRESH IDEAS if you're feeding your mind the same old stale-bread stuff.
Too many women business owners and women in sales tend to only look at people in their own industry for new ideas and inspiration. They attend the same conferences, and trade shows, read the same trade magazines and wonder why they still aren't moving forward at the pace they want.
That's how you end up with IN-BRED IDEAS and believe me – they look funny and don't work!
Ever since I stepped away from the national corporate world in 2001 – I vowed to help women entrepreneurs and women in sales learn how to sell in a way that was comfortable and natural for them. (No cold calling or heavy duty pressure)
Why did I focus on women?
Because quite frankly, I'm a woman and I was tired of all the hype and hot air from the guys! (Really – there's hardly anything written or taught BY WOMEN - FOR WOMEN) It really ticked me off!
So it is now my mission to offer a female perspective on selling and marketing - without all the hard-selling baloney.
As my friend Deb says (a wonderful Texas girl):
"The rooster crows but the hen delivers the eggs."
Plus – I like that women are open to asking for directions!
I'm a very lucky woman. I have ALWAYS had mentors from many different areas that helped me to accelerate my sales much faster than I could ever do on my own.
Even today – my mentors stop me from making costly goof-ups (I tend to be like a bull in a china shop sometimes) – which helps me to stay 2-3 years ahead of everyone else.
I'm sure you'd love to have some experts in your corner too. (It definitely makes life a lot easier not having to learn everything the hard way!)

A mentor is someone who is already doing this and they know what you need to avoid and what you should jump on right away. (Plus – they've done the research and dug up all the coolest, affordable and even sometimes FREE resources that you would NEVER in a million years find on your own)
They will also challenge your thinking. You may not always agree with me and my fabulous experts but that's what we're here for – to GET YOU TO THINK DIFFERENTLY.
As my mom says "You've got to stir the pot!"

I've had a mentor since 2001 – many times – I've had several mentors at once. My mentors change over time but one thing for sure – I WILL ALWAYS HAVE ONE because they PUSH ME to stretch and reach my highest potential. (They are as important to me as nail polish – and trust me – that's important!)
